Bob Yeager’s Archived Lessons: #1

Lesson #1: Our Purpose

Well, the foundation to everything, from business to life, is built
upon strong relationships.

If you have a business, on or off-line, then you know that it is much easier
to build your business with strong people who want to be near you.
I have experienced in the past, that in order to grow strong relationships,
you must give people a desire to be involved with you. You think to yourself,

“My product is strong enough to give them that reason!”

That is so far from the truth and if you continue in that mindset, you
will not go too far in this world.
When I confront people, online or off; I do not confront them with sales pitches
or flood them with product information. Instead, I ask them questions about
their desires, passions, and goals. I truly care about what the needs of people
are.
After I have found that area of passion, I then find what is holding them back;
that area of discontent in their lives.
Think about it; if you could do anything, create the life that you know
you were meant to have, what would it be?

Then, why haven’t you accomplished it yet. What, exactly, do you feel is
keeping you from fulfilling your desires.
Now, with those questions raised; if you could find a way toward
bringing those dreams into reality, could you use the information?
Really, if you were presented with the right information, could you use it?
Of course you could! These are the questions you ask people. This is the
information you need to know. Not how many items they would like to order
from you, not if they would like to start a home business. You need to find
that area of discontent. Then, tell them you will get back to them in 48 hours
and let them know what you came up with.
Keep in mind, the information you come back with, may have nothing to do
with your own business, at this stage, your only agenda is to search for those
that have the information that your new friend needs. Then, in 48 hours, call
them back and tell them,

“Hey, I did a search on the Net, and I came across
some information that may help you. Could you use it?”

Now, you may be asking at this moment, “Why would I go through
that, I contacted these people for another purpose.”
That is not the case; you contacted these people to help them. To aid them
in achieving what it is they desire to accomplish in life. The first step in
business is to find the area of discontent in a persons life, and aid them in
the retrieval of the information that will help. Then, it is upon them to utilize
that information.
When you meet with them in the next 48 hours, show them the information
that THEY could use to create that change in THEIR lives. You were the
new friend that helped them find it. They will express their gratitude, and
you have just become part of their lives.
Keep in contact with them on a regular basis, and slowly lead them into your
opportunity. Do this, without asking them to join; Trust me, it won’t be long
before they ask what exactly it is that you do, and how they can do the same!

I’m going to leave Lesson 1 at that.

This is our purpose, as human beings. Find a way to help others and to create
value in their lives, then; you will attract them toward you like a magnet.
They will show an urgency to be involved with you. Pretty easy, huh? If you notice,
this can be applied to other areas in your life. Whether it be building new friend-
ships, romantic relationships, or simply asking for a raise at your
current job.

Creating Self-Awareness by Identifying Your Raw Talent

An amazing realization that I have come too, is that my raw talent allows me to become self-aware. What does that mean, exactly? Well, your raw talent is that one thing in your life that you are so good at that you don’t even have to think about it. It is the thing that you enjoy doing to the level that you couldn’t imagine not having the ability to do so. It’s the quality in you that feels as if it is an intricate part of who you are. And, it is the natural part of you that you desire to do everyday.

Isn’t it funny how that seems alot like a passion? It also sounds a bit like soul purpose, doesn’t it? Well, there is a reason for that! These traits within you are all interconnected. I have found, within myself, that I am really good at connecting the right people with eachother. I’m also very good at teaching others how to see things more clearly, in order for them to achieve success through their passion and soul purpose. So, what is my raw talent? It is helping others realize their raw talents and connecting them with others that share or, could help develop, that raw talent into a tangeable quality in order to improve the quality of both of their lives!

Isn’t it cool how these things come together so fluidly? I have a bit of a challenge for you! Sit down and write down all of the little things you are extremely good at. Then, write down all the really big things that you are really good at. Now, read both of those lists out loud. Your next step is to relate how all those things you are good at. How are they connected. Perhaps the little things make up the really big things? Do you think there is a reason why you are good at those things? Of course there is!

Your soul purpose, your raw talent and your passion has developed right beneath your nose!

Too many times, we have been taught; whether in school or by our parents, that we should place focus on our weaknesses in order to strengthen those traits. That is a very big misconception! Your weaknesses are those qualities that have a hold on you, because they do not enhance your raw talents! For example, I am really good at working on cars, old ones! If you were to place a 2008 Mitsubishi in front of me, open the hood and ask me to fix it…I would be lost. Now, if you were to put a 1978 Chevy Nova in front of me and ask me to fix it, I could tear that thing apart and put it back together in working order in no time!

You see, I know my strenghs and I focus on those. My weaknesses receive none of my attention. Why? Because they do not serve my purpose. Just like writing, I’m good at placing my thoughts in print, but I am no good at typing out the thoughts of others for them!

The lesson today is: Identify and Verbalize your raw talent, then, figure out your passion and soul purpose…then, spend every day doing at least one thing that serves your purpose, utilizing those raw talents. Very quickly, your life is going to come to the point of manifesting success and abundance… give it a try…I think you may amaze yourself!
